Bexhill Leisure Centre is having an open day on Saturday 15 October, to unveil the recent refurb and showcase its brand new fitness suite, which saw £40,000 invested into the community facility by the leisure centre operator in partnership with the council – and you are invited to attend and try it for FREE!
The new fitness suite now boast three separate fitness rooms; the first, an all-new functional training room, where fitness instructors can run ‘ignite’ classes; a small, action-packed, group training session using the latest equipment to transform your gym workout forever, design by and exclusive to our gyms, second is the greatly improved weights room with much new equipment and the third, the main gym area, with new cardio kit and a wide range of weight resistance machines.
Plus, the current indoor cycle studio has been improved, innovative ‘My Ride’ technology – creating a full daily programme of both instructor-led and virtual spin-style sessions, to fit in with all schedules, abilities and preferences.
Paul Norris, Bexhill Leisure Centre Manager, says: “We are delighted with the new fitness suite and can’t wait to show it off to the local community. Bexhill Leisure Centre is a hugely popular gym, so we wanted to have the best fitness offerings for our community to ensure there is something for every training need – from novice to advanced.”

Norris adds: “We are very lucky to have ignite available here, as it is an amazing fitness offering which gives participants real results! It gives the taste of a personal training session and is free with membership. The instructor really motivates you to get the most out of your workout and shows you the very best exercises and techniques. Getting My Ride at this centre is also wonderful news for locals. Indoor cycling classes such as Spin are hugely popular, and My Ride is the latest in indoor cycling developments. The centre now also benefits from a greatly increased free-weight provision, with a greatly enhanced weight selection and a functional training room – which not every gym in the area has. This investment really does demonstrate the work that the council and ourselves do to support the community.”
The open day is open to all, including families, and activities are FREE, including; squash, badminton, racquetball, table tennis, ‘ignite’, studio classes, My Ride virtual indoor cycling classes, inline hockey and coached trampolining. There are also free memberships up for grabs in a series of challenges and draws.
