What equipment do you need to play squash?
To play squash, all you need is a racquet and a squash ball…and a towel to mop up the sweat! If you are just starting out, it is recommended you use black squash balls with blue dot marking as these balls are more bouncy and easier to play with for beginners.

Yes, we always advise pre-booking which you can do online here or by calling us on 01792 897039.
Only indoor trainers are permitted on the squash court.
You can book up to 8 days in advance for your casual bookings, however, if you are looking for something a bit more permanent we offer block bookings with a minimum of 10 weeks at a time at some great rates.
We suggest that you bring your own playing equipment such as balls and racquets, however, we do have limited equipment to hire if needs be.
Squash is a sport that is easy to learn but requires a good level of fitness and a lot of practice to compete at a high level. At Penyrheol, we are happy to welcome beginners and help them develop their skills and confidence on the court. Whether you are a seasoned player or new to the sport, we encourage you to come and give it a try.

A squash court is generally 9.75 metres long and 6.4 metres wide, but this can differ slightly depending on the venue.
