active young people

With 16.9% of the Lichfield’s population aged under 16 years, we will be developing a wide range of innovative programmes including Xplorer, Smash up, This girl can and learn to swim to encourage young people across Lichfield to be more active. As a nation, this is the first time that those having children in this decade, may out-live their children as a result of inactivity. Freedom Leisure has a responsibility to provide affordable and engaging opportunities for our young people across Lichfield. We continue to work with local schools and colleges to develop even more activities for those aged 0-16

Our soft play sessions are popular with the tots on a Thursday at Burntwood Leisure Centre. Its on every week and 0-8yr olds can come along have a bounce on the castle, build and play with the soft play equipment or just run around the sports hall.

The session is supervised by a qualified sports coach however we ask that you stay in the hall with your child. Catch up with your friends or just sit and enjoy a costa whilst your toddlers are wearing themselves out!!

Burntwood LC: Thursdays 9:30-10:30am £2 per child

Just turn up at the session on the day and pay.

School holidays sessions run as usual,

Community Coaching

Active communities coaches are available to visit your organisation to deliver different sports from archery to dodgeball. If you are a youth club, village/community hall or just want to provide something for local children to take part in then drop us an email to discuss what we can offer. Our coaches are fully qualified in sports and first aid.

Over the summer Edingale Village Hall gave us funding to deliver multi sports sessions which was great for the local children over the 6 week holidays.

We are currently at Burntwood Youth Centre for the next couple of months delivering various sports to the fun club group.
