The Active IQ Level 2 Award in Basic Pool Plant Operations (equivalent of ISRM Foundation Pool Plant Operators) provides a good introduction to the principles of pool plant operations and management. Many leisure organisations require their operational staff to hold this qualification, so that they have the skills and knowledge to contribute to the operation of the plant, ensuring that swimming conditions are safe when open to the public.
While we offer open course dates for this training, if you have a number of staff who need to attend it may be more cost effective to book a on-site course, on days and at times that suit you.
To deliver this 1 day course anywhere in Sussex, for a maximum of 16 people, the price is £450 plus £50 per person (VAT not applicable). Additional costs may be added for courses run outside Sussex or run over more than 1 day.
Great knowledge, explained in easy to understand language. Excellent Course. Would recommend and use againMichael Faulkner
You will learn about the principles of pool plant operation including circulation, filtration, disinfection, pH correction and heating, as well as water testing to ensure the correct levels of disinfection are being used
There are no formal pre-requisites, but it is expected that learners will have a basic awareness of how pools operate by being involved in their operation in some capacity (e.g as a lifeguard).
The Tutor will assess you during the course and you will need to complete a learner portfolio of questions/tasks.
Active IQ awards the certificate.
