The Active IQ Level 3 Award in Designing Pre and Post-Natal Exercise Programmes qualification is designed for Instructors wishing to further their career in the health and fitness sector as a specialist instructor who can address the needs of pre and post-natal clients. Learners develop an understanding of the physiological and biomechanical changes that place during pregnancy. Learners will learn how to apply appropriate training approaches to plan and design programmes for pre and post-natal clients.
This qualification comprises of two mandatory units
Successful achievement of both mandatory units must be achieved for the full qualification.
Pre Requisites/Entry Requirements
Learners must hold either a Level 2 Certificate In Fitness Instructing (GYM/Exercise To Music or Aqua) or one of the following
This course is an on-line course where you will have to complete 30 hours of guided learning in the comfort of your own home.
You will need to complete 12 of these hours completing e-learning, you will require the internet and access to a smart phone or computer.
Once e-learning has been achieved then you will need to complete your Learner Achievement Portfolio which will consist of a 14 question worksheet and a case study for a theoretical client. Answers can be hand written or typed up using WORD or PDF. You will be assigned a tutor to provide you with ongoing support and guidance.
Once you have completed your learner achievement portfolio this will be posted to an assessor who will assess your work.
