How to book our squash courts
To book a court, you will need a Pay As You Go membership costing £12.50 per annum. Our squash courts are available to be booked from 9:00 in the morning up to seven days in advance and sessions last 40 minutes. Please note you can only book one court at a time per membership. Call Stafford Leisure Centre on 01785 619500 or book online. Members can play as a walk-in if a court is available.

Squash is extremely fast paced, requiring players to use a lot more energy than many other sports. It’s great for cardiovascular health and a single session will have you running, leaping and diving for the ball, boosting flexibility and promoting fantastic hand-eye coordination.

- £9.40 per session off peak weekends and weekdays before 17:00
- £5.50 per session off peak concessions
You don’t need a lot of equipment to play squash - just a racquet and a squash ball! If you are a beginner, we recommend using black squash balls with blue dot marking - these balls are bouncier than other types of squash ball, making them ideal for players who are new to the game.
Yes, racquet hire is available at the main reception.
Learning the basics of squash is simple but the game itself requires a good level of fitness and lots of practice to play at a competitive level. At Stafford Leisure Centre we are always happy to welcome beginners and help them build skills and confidence on the court.
Yes, we are part of an accredited squash league.
Our Squash and badminton club runs on Monday 19:00 - 21:00
