Why learn to swim?
It's so much fun
The easiest way for a child to learn a new skill is through fun and games. Our lessons have a high focus on having fun and enjoying being in the water.
It provides confidence in the Water
Feeling safe and confident in the water adds to the experience and enables children to play confidently with their friends and family.
It's a life skill
It's something your child will retain for the entirety of their life and it can save lives.
Did you know?
That more than half of children aged seven to eleven years old are unable to swim a minimum of 25 metres unaided, meaning that just over one million children in the Uk are potentially unsafe in and around water and therefore at risk of drowning!

At around six weeks old, babies can be introduced to water for the purpose of having fun and getting used to being in and around it. As children reach the age of four, they can begin to learn the basics of swimming, and by five years old, they typically have mastered the front crawl stroke. However, it's important to keep in mind that every child is different and may progress at their own pace when it comes to learning to swim.
