national exercise referral scheme (ners)

The National Exercise Referral Scheme (NERS) is a Welsh Assembly Government (WAG) funded scheme which has been developed over the last 4 years to standardise exercise referral opportunities across Wales. The scheme targets clients who have a chronic disease or are at risk of developing chronic disease.

Clients are referred by a GP or Health Practitioner so if you think you would benefit from joining this scheme please speak to your GP.

The potential benefits of physical activity to health are huge. If a medication existed which had a similar effect, it would be regarded as a ‘wonder drug’ or ‘miracle cure’
