Whether you are swimming for fun, fitness or relaxation Crowborough's pool has something for everyone
Here at Crowborough leisure centre we work in partnership with Swim England to deliver their Learn to Swim Pathway for children and adults. Therefore our lesson programmes follow a nationally recognised syllabus and awards system produced by swimming’s governing body.
The Junior Learn to Swim Pathway maintains a focus on fun and games to help children develop the skills they need to become competent swimmers. Children are guided through the Foundation Framework as babies with the support of their guardian in the water to build water confidence. Moving on to the Learn to Swim Framework where they learn basic swimming and water skills through to more advanced techniques in the Aquatic Skills Framework.
Swimming is a great activity for the whole family to participate in together. Have fun splashing around and practising the life skill of swimming, a great way to cool down on hot days or to escape the rain during the traditional English summer. The whole family will enjoy the time spent together at Crowborough Leisure Centre. Our open swim sessions are perfect for all swimming abilities, or if you are looking to entertain the kids why not come along and dance at one of our floatarama or splashdance sessions
Swimming is a great form of exercise for the whole body. The swimming pool provides a great environment for warming up or cooling down after a strenuous exercise class or gym workout but is also a very effective exercise in its own right. The water provides additional resistance for your muscle groups to work against and supports some of your body weight reducing the strain on your joints
Wash away all the stress of the day in the 25m pool during adult swim sessions. Make a day of it and visit our sauna & steam room and finish off with a Costa coffee and a bite to eat in our cafe.
Are there any time restrictions?
At busy times a band system will be put into operation to limit session to two hours.
Do children need to be accompanied?
All children under 8 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. An adult may only take responsibility for a maximum of two children. Click here for our swimming admissions policy
