As a proud not-for-profit leisure trust, Freedom Leisure is delighted to once again support this important event alongside ukactive, helping to inspire more people to discover the benefits of being active.

Improving Lives Through Leisure

At Freedom Leisure, our mission has always been clear: to improve lives through leisure. We believe that everyone should have access to safe, welcoming spaces where they can be active, meet others and feel part of their community. From swimming pools and gyms to fitness classes and indoor/outdoor sports, our centres are designed to support all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

Whether you’re looking to take your first dip in the pool, join a yoga session or simply enjoy a game of badminton with friends; our leisure centres provide an environment where everyone is welcome.

A Space for Communities to Thrive

We know that being active is about more than just physical fitness, it’s about mental wellbeing, confidence and social connection. That’s why our centres are more than just places to exercise; they’re community wellness hubs where people can thrive together.

National Fitness Day is the perfect opportunity to remind ourselves that activity can be fun, social and accessible. From gentle movement to more energetic workouts, there’s something for everyone.

We are proud to stand alongside ukactive and thousands of organisations across the country to make National Fitness Day 2025 the most impactful yet. Together, we can inspire more people to move, connect and improve their health and wellbeing through leisure.

Bring a Friend on National Fitness Day

To celebrate, Freedom Leisure will be offering free day passes across our centres. We’re encouraging our members and regular customers to use this opportunity to bring along a friend, family member or colleague who could benefit from trying something new.

It might be a gentle swim, a relaxing stretch class or a friendly game of five-a-side, the important thing is taking that first step together. Sometimes all it takes is a small nudge or a supportive friend to make being active a regular and enjoyable part of life.
