We are extremely proud to announce that we have been chosen as a finalist in no less than four categories in the upcoming Energy Awards 2025 which take place at a gala event in London in July.

These prestigious national awards which are now in their 16th year, recognise and celebrate the excellence, innovation and ambitions of the people and businesses that have shown their dedication and commitment to delivering on their environmental and sustainability commitments over the past 12 months.

We have been shortlisted as a finalist in the following four categories;

  • Energy Efficient Partnership of the Year
  • Campaign of the Year
  • Low Carbon Initiative Business Leadership
  • Energy Champion of the Year

Freedom Leisure has been a pioneer in energy management and sustainability in the sector for many years. These finalist nominations are testament to the organisational commitment to energy conservation and follows on the back of the leisure trust being the first leisure operator in the UK to be Carbon Literacy accredited by The Carbon Literacy Project.

This significant accomplishment underscores Freedom Leisure’s dedication towards tackling climate change, reducing its organisational carbon emissions and its commitment to working towards a zero-carbon future.

We are delighted to have been selected as a finalist in four categories. We have championed impactful energy saving initiatives across our portfolio of centres for a number of years now and thanks to everyone in the organisation there has been a real cultural shift across Freedom Leisure and environmental sustainability and energy consumption is now firmly embedded into the daily lives, routines and work flows of all our colleagues.
