The event coincided with a major milestone for Freedom Leisure, as the organisation celebrates its 21st year in partnership with Hastings Borough Council. The ceremony honoured the dedication, commitment and passion of staff who have played a vital role in shaping Freedom Leisure’s services for local communities over the past quarter of a century.
The awards were presented in the presence of Ivan Horsfall Turner, Chief Executive of Freedom Leisure and Councillor Glenn Haffenden, Leader of Hastings Borough Council, who both joined Freedom Leisure colleagues to personally thank them for their outstanding service and contribution. Their attendance underlined the strength of the long-standing partnership between Freedom Leisure and the council and the shared commitment to providing high-quality leisure, health and wellbeing services across the district. Among those recognised on the day was Toby Reed, Area Manager for Freedom Leisure in Hastings [pictured alongside Ivan Horsfall Turenr and Councillor Glenn Haffenden]
Having colleagues who have been a part of this journey since day one is incredibly special and a real testament to the strong, supportive culture we have built over the last 21 years. I’m both proud and humbled to receive this award alongside so many dedicated members of our team. Our long-standing partnership with Hastings Borough Council has played a vital role in our success, but it is the commitment, passion and hard work of our colleagues that have made everything we’ve achieved possible. Today is a celebration of them and the contribution they continue to make to our community every day.
