Description
As one of the UK’s leading charitable leisure trusts, we’re proud of our mission of Improving Lives Through Leisure.
We’re here to help communities live healthier, happier lives by making our centres welcoming, inclusive and accessible to everyone – because everyone deserves to feel good. We’re all about delivering amazing customer service and creating spaces where people feel at home, supported and inspired.
We are about to commence an exciting transformational programme to implement a new suite of people systems across the organisation and seeking an experienced Project Manager to work alongside the HR Director in delivering this critical project.
The Project Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of people systems implementation, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful adoption across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the planning, governance and delivery of people systems projects from initiation through to implementation and post‑go‑live review.
- Working with stakeholders to gather requirements, map current and future processes, and translate these into system specifications.
- Manage project plans, risks, dependencies and budgets, ensuring delivery to agreed scope, timescales and organisational priorities.
- Coordinate internal teams and external implementation partners to support seamless system integration.
- Support change management, testing and user adoption, ensuring systems are compliant, user‑friendly and fit for purpose.
In the event that a high volume of suitable applications are received, the post may close prior to the specified closing date. Please apply as soon as possible if interested.
Hours: 37 hours a week - Monday to Friday
Whilst this is not an office based role, you will be required to work alongside the rest of the project team in East Hoathly 2-3 days per week.
Please note: that we are seeking a candidate who can commit to a fixed-term contract of around 8–10 months.
Applications from self‑employed individuals will also be considered, although day rates may be lower than market expectations in line with our charitable trust status.
Requirements
- Proven experience of delivering HR or people systems implementations, ideally within a multi‑site or national organisation.
- Strong project management capability, with experience managing complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrable business analysis skills, including requirements gathering and process mapping.
- Experience working with HR, payroll or workforce systems (e.g. HRIS, ATS, LMS).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a values‑led environment.
Ideally candidates will hold a project management qualification and have experience supporting organisational change, but this is not essential.
