About the Role
As a Direct Debit & Membership Administrator you will be responsible for managing all direct debit payments and membership administration across the contract. You will play a key role in ensuring payments are processed accurately, membership records are maintained correctly and customers receive a high standard of service. You will also manage the Gladstone system, supporting centre teams and managers with pricing and product changes and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process all Direct Debit payment transactions for Leisure Centres within the contract.
- Manage the BACS payment system, monitoring arrears and following agreed debt collection procedures.
- Complete the monthly electronic Direct Debit run, ensuring all customer amounts are correct.
- Handle customer enquiries relating to memberships and payments via telephone, email or letter.
- Communicate effectively with centre staff and customers to resolve membership and payment queries.
- Collate and provide sales and cancellation statistics for management teams.
- Liaise with the Sundry Debtors department regarding non payment of memberships.
- Monitor memberships that are temporarily frozen or suspended.
- Manage all Gladstone system updates, including price points, product changes and other amendments as requested by management.

Requirements
- Experience of processing Direct Debit payments and working with customer accounts.
- Confident in delivering excellent customer service, ideally with face to face experience.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional, motivated and able to build effective working relationships across teams.
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to manage multiple tasks to deadlines.
- Experience with membership systems such as Gladstone is desirable but not essential.
- Mobility to travel across sites is desirable but not essential.
