Our aim is to provide high quality accessible services in the communities we serve and volunteering is a highly valued part of achieving that aim. Our programmes and services are wide ranging and reach many parts of our communities. From healthy walks, to theatre productions, to Friday Night projects for teenagers, we have a great range of volunteer roles available.

As a volunteer you can expect the following from us:

What you can expect from Freedom Leisure as a Volunteer:

  • A thorough induction & training programme to carry out your role
  • A clear understanding of your role
  • A named person who will provide support and supervision
  • An opportunity to review your role and progress where possible
  • A clear procedure for claiming expenses
  • A safe working environment with appropriate insurance cover
  • Provision of uniform and PPE as required for the role
  • Provide you with the right to say ‘no’ to inappropriate demands, additional tasks or activities that you do not want to do
  • We will not ask you to take the place of a paid member of our Team
  • We will treat you with respect, equity and free from discrimination in accordance with our Equality Policy
