Hydrotherapy for Health And Happiness

Hydrotherapy for Health And Happiness

Thanks to funding from the Sport England Movement Fund, Freedom Leisure has been proud to work alongside Fibro Warriors, East Surrey Rural Transport, Growing Health Together, and Surrey County Council to bring a truly meaningful project to life.

This collaborative initiative provides free hydrotherapy sessions for women living with fibromyalgia and chronic pain, helping to create accessible opportunities for physical activity.

Hosted at Tandridge Leisure Centre, the gentle, low intensity aqua sessions are designed to support mobility, ease pain, and rebuild confidence in the water.

With dedicated group transport, participants are able to travel, connect, and support one another, building friendships and a real sense of community along the way.

The impact has already been felt:

“Since joining Fibro Warriors my life has dramatically changed… I feel so much more relaxed and content that I am doing something for my mental and physical self. I would love to carry on with these sessions.”

Designed with the help of local women and delivered in partnership with community organisations, this project is a powerful example of what can be achieved when the community comes together.

NEW Neurological Boxfit Class

NEW Neurological Boxfit Class

Starting Wednesday 3rd September, join us every week from 11.30am to 12.15pm. The class is priced at just £2 per session.

Following the success of our Parkinson’s BoxFit Class, which is currently full and a finalist in the UK Active Awards 2025, we are delighted to introduce this new session with the same instructor.

This non-contact boxing class incorporates gait and balance exercises to support people with neurological conditions such as MS, stroke, or Parkinson’s. Most participants have never boxed before but benefit from the repetition, combined with fitness, strengthening, and stretching exercises, to help improve ambulation and overall wellbeing.

To book a place (up to 7 days in advance), please call 01883 716717, option 1, or leave a voicemail if the line is busy. For further information, email [email protected].
