Glen Reeve Celebrates an Outstanding Year of Sporting Achievement
Freedom Leisure FLAIR member Glen Reeve has enjoyed an exceptional year of sporting success, showing impressive commitment, discipline and determination across swimming, cycling and running. FLAIR stands for Freedom Leisure Athlete Investment & Recognition, a programme that supports talented local athletes by helping them access facilities for training and development.
Glen has continued to train consistently and push himself.
To be eligible for FLAIR support, athletes must be ranked within the top 20 nationally, across all ages, in their chosen sport or discipline. They must also compete in a sport recognised by Sport England and Sport Wales, and live in a borough or district where Freedom Leisure operates facilities.
As a dedicated multi-sport athlete, Glen has continued to train consistently and push himself to achieve at a high level. His progress reflects the hard work and resilience needed to compete across demanding endurance events.
Over the past year, Glen achieved second place in his age group at both the Nottingham Middle Distance Triathlon and the Geordieman 70.3 half ironman distance race in Northumberland. He has also qualified to represent Great Britain at the European Standard Duathlon Championships in Banyoles, Spain — a remarkable achievement that reflects his dedication to progressing in his sport.
