SEND Family Fun Afternoon
The Stour Centre is delighted to be hosting a SEND Family Fun Afternoon for local children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), along with their families and carers. The event has been designed to provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where families can enjoy a variety of activities, meet others in the community, and access information about local support and services.
What to expect?
Taking place in the Sports Hall, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a range of fun and accessible activities including a bouncy castle, sensory sports sessions, arts and crafts, parachute games, bubble play, interactive challenges, and a dedicated sensory exploration area. Activities will be delivered with inclusivity at their heart, allowing children and young people to participate at their own pace.
Alongside the activities, local SEND charities and support organisations will be attending to provide information, advice, and signposting to services available throughout the community. Families will have the opportunity to connect with support networks, discover local opportunities, and learn more about the resources available to them.
