Freedom Leisure is proud to announce the Ashford Hero Awards 2027, taking place on Friday 15th January 2027 at the Stour Centre, Ashford.
The Hero Awards are a celebration of the individuals, groups and organisations whose dedication, kindness and commitment make a real difference across our communities. From volunteers and fundraisers to educators, community champions, young people and local organisations, the awards recognise those who go above and beyond to support others and inspire positive change. The awards were established to shine a spotlight on the remarkable people whose contributions often go unnoticed, yet have a lasting impact on the lives of those around them. The 2026 awards celebrated a diverse range of local heroes who demonstrated exceptional community spirit, service and leadership.
Every community has its heroes. They are the people who generously give their time, support those in need, bring people together, champion inclusion, and help create stronger, healthier and more connected communities. The Ashford Hero Awards provide an opportunity for these unsung heroes to receive the recognition they truly deserve.
Nominations Are Now Open
We are now inviting members of the public, community groups, schools, sports clubs, charities and local organisations to submit nominations for the 2027 awards.
Do you know someone who has made an exceptional contribution to their community? Perhaps they have demonstrated outstanding kindness, raised funds for a worthy cause, inspired others through their actions, or dedicated countless hours volunteering to support local people. If so, we want to hear their story.
Nominating someone is a meaningful way to acknowledge their efforts and ensure their contribution is celebrated alongside other inspiring individuals from across Ashford and the surrounding areas.
