Freedom Leisure awarded Forever Active Kent Grant
Freedom Leisure is delighted to announce that we have been awarded a Forever Active Kent Grant, administered by Active Kent & Medway in partnership with Kent County Council Public Health, to deliver FREE physical activity sessions for adults aged 50+ in our local area.
This exciting initiative aims to help older adults stay active, connected, and independent for longer. Our sessions will be designed to improve mobility, reduce loneliness and boost mental wellbeing.
Kent’s older population is growing rapidly, and regular physical activity is one of the most effective ways to prevent long-term health conditions, reduce falls, and improve quality of life.
“The Forever Active Kent Fund is Kent County Council’s commitment to supporting healthy ageing at a community level, empowering local organisations to make a lasting impact, helping more people across the county stay active, connected and independent for longer.” said Elise Rendall, Strategic Lead for Health and Physical Activity, Active Kent & Medway.
Our 12 week programme starts on:
Tuesday 5th May 1:15pm - 2pm with Meadow at the Stour Leisure Centre
