Emergency First Aid at Work - One Day Course

Emergency First Aid at Work covers a range of topics within its syllabus, including the Health and Safety (first aid) regulations, managing incidents, priorities of first aid, treatment of unconscious casualties, resuscitation, shock, choking, seizures, bleeding and other common workplace injuries.

The course tutor will assess you throughout the course, through multiple choice papers and observations. Upon completion, First Aid Awards will provide a certificate. Your certificate is valid for 3 years.

First Aid at Work - Three Day Course

The Level 3 First Aid at Work covers a wide range of topics within its syllabus, including the principles of first aid, legal requirements, CPR (resuscitation), treatment for shock, heart attacks, head injuries, spinal injuries, fractures, burns, soft tissue injuries, heat related illnesses.  Other important topics include poisoning, seizures, asthma, allergic reactions and eye injuries.

No pre-requisites required.

First Aid at Work Re-Certification - Two Day Course

The Level 3 First Aid at Work covers a wide range of topics within its syllabus, including the principles of first aid, legal requirements, CPR (resuscitation), treatment for shock, heart attacks, head injuries, spinal injuries, fractures, burns, soft tissue injuries, heat related illnesses.  Other important topics include poisoning, seizures, asthma, allergic reactions and eye injuries.

You must have obtained your First Aid at Work qualification. You are able to attend this course up to three months before the previous certification expires or up to 28 days after the expiry date to receive another three year certificate from the previous expiry date.

Anyone who is attending within the 28 days after the expiry date must note that their qualification is no longer valid for that period and if they cannot complete the training within this time they will need to attend the full First Aid at Work course again.

Paediatric First Aid - Two Day Course

The Level 3 Paediatric First Aid covers a wide range of topics but focuses on dealing with accidents and emergencies involving young children. It includes the principles of Paediatric First Aid and the legal requirements. The syllabus covers assessing casualties, unconscious casualties, CPR (resuscitation), treatment for shock, wounds and bleeding, burns and scalds, disorders of consciousness - including head injuries and seizures, sprains, strains and fractures, poisoning, bites and stings, foreign objects and childhood conditions (meningitis, croup, febrile seizures etc).

Pool Plant Level 2 - One Day Course

The Level 2 Award in Pool Operations aims to provide learners with a basic understanding of the operations of swimming pools and other types of pools and provide the knowledge and skills required to be able to competently carry out pool water testing. This course typically lasts 8 hours and is covered over the period of one day.

Throughout the duration of the course learners will be assessed on their knowledge and skills through practical, verbal and written assessments.

Pool Plant Level 3 - Three Day Course

The Level 3 Award in Managing Pool Operations aims to provide learners with an understanding of the technical operations of swimming pools, small pools, (e.g. school pools, hotel pools, hydrotherapy pools etc) and to provide the knowledge and skills required to manage and operate pool plant both safely and efficiently.

This course typically lasts 18 hours and is covered over the period of three days.

Throughout the duration of the course learners will be assessed on their knowledge and skills through practical, verbal and written assessments.

Learners will need to also complete an assignment specific to the course.
