Located right in the heart of Brighton, you won’t find a better place than Prince Regent to learn how to swim. We offer a fantastic range of swimming lessons for both adults and children which are all about encouraging and developing learners to be confident and competent swimmers.

Children’s swimming lessons
Prince Regent offers lessons for babies and toddlers from just three months old with no upper age limit for children learning to swim. Our 50 week Swim England programme designed for children will teach swimming through fun and structured activities that we know your child will love, guiding them from beginners to advanced techniques and beyond. Adult swimming lessons
Our Adult Lesson programme features classes to suit all abilities, so if you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve your stroke technique, our friendly and enthusiastic SEQ-qualified instructors can help you to become a confident swimmer.
Swimming Lessons at King Alfred Leisure Centre

Located on the seafront in Hove, King Alfred offers a great range of junior and adult swim school programmes, from little ones just dipping their toe in the water, to sessions for adults of all ages and abilities. Our lessons are designed to help learners become confident and competent swimmers and our fantastic expert coaches will be with you every step of the way.
Children’s swimming lessons
We have classes for babies, toddlers and children of all ages. Our SEQ-qualified swimming teachers are passionate about teaching children how to stay safe in the water and become strong, confident swimmers.
- Squeaky Frogs - a lovely gentle class for infants just learning about the water.
- Junior Swim School - our incredibly popular swim school programme which teaches kids of all ages how to swim.
- Swim Club - a non-competitive swim club suitable for intermediate swimmers and above.
- Five Day Crash Course - intensive swimming courses teaching Swim England pathway stages 1-3.

Adult Swimming lessons
You are never too old to learn how to swim or become a more confident swimmer. We offer adult lessons for beginners, or for more advanced swimmers we can provide coaching on aspects such as stroke improvement techniques.

St Luke's Swimming Pool is located within a Grade II listed building a short distance from Brighton train station. Lessons at St Luke’s follow the British Gas ASA Learn to Swim Pathway meaning non swimmers are learning to swim as part of a nationally recognised syllabus and awards system produced by swimming’s governing body.

Yes we offer coached activities for people with disabilities. All our pools have hoists available and our centres are fully accessible. Please contact your local pool for booking information.
This couldn’t be simpler! Click on Find centre, enter your postcode, city or town, and you’ll be shown a list of all your local Freedom Leisure venues with details on facilities such as pools, gyms, tennis courts, opening times, etc.
By the age of four, most children can start to learn the very basics of swimming and by five, they are usually able to master the front crawl. That said, babies can be introduced to the water from approximately six weeks old. At this stage, the emphasis should be on fun, splashing about and letting your baby or toddler get used to the sensation of being in and around water.

Prince Regent Swimming Complex does have a car park which is overseen by Parking Eye. Use of this car park costs just £1 for two hours. Sign in with your car registration at Reception upon arrival.
At King Alfred, there is a pay and display car park beside the centre. Payment can be made via the app.
St Luke’s does not have parking on site, however there is street parking available around Hanover.
