Les Mills Body Balance
Ideal for all ages, Body Balance is a new generation yoga class which incorporates the principles of Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates for a great mind, body and spirit workout. Set to inspiring music, you will bend and stretch using a series of simple low impact holistic moves with a focus on controlled breathing.
A low impact exercise that strengthens the core, improves posture and flexibility while building muscular strength. Focusing on controlled breathing and small movements, pilates is ideal for people with arthritis, back pain, new mothers and those looking to build core and pelvic floor muscles. Les Mills Body Combat
Body combat is a fiercely energetic, non contact programme inspired by martial arts. Incorporating moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Kung Fu, Boxing, Capoeira and Muay Thai, you’ll punch, kick, strike and block your way to fitness, burning heaps of calories and developing strength and coordination along the way.
Les Mills Body Pump
Body pump barbell classes will sculpt, tone and strengthen your entire body fast! Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, Body Pump works all major muscle groups while burning calories. Our coaches will be there to encourage and motivate you to push yourself, leaving you feeling stronger, energised and ready for your next session!
Who says workouts have to be boring? Inspired by various styles of Latin American dance, Zumba is a hugely popular class which mixes high and low intensity moves to tone muscles, burn fat and improve overall fitness. This interval-style workout will get your whole body moving, working the full cardiovascular system while having fun in an energetic social environment.
Yoga is a stress-busting, low impact exercise which focuses on controlled breathing, improving flexibility and building core strength. Tennis and Squash Courts
With three outdoor courts floodlit all year round, and two of the only indoor courts in Brighton, Withdean is the perfect place to pick up a racquet and get active! If squash is your thing, our squash courts are the ideal venue to let off steam in a friendly, competitive environment.
Withdean Sports Complex is the number one venue for track and field in Brighton and we are proud to host a number of athletic clubs for adults and juniors, such as Brighton & Hove City Athletic Club, Phoenix Athletic Club and Arena 80 Athletic Club.
Training rooms for hire
Our training rooms are perfect for training exercises, meetings, clubs and societies. Current customers include National Trust, Rock Choir, Educational providers, community groups, local tutors and Bounce trampoline fitness.

This depends on the type of class you are taking. It is important to be comfortable so leggings, shorts or joggers are advisable, along with a good pair of trainers or running shoes (please note you won’t need shoes for pilates or yoga classes). Breathable t-shirts and sports tops are suitable. We would advise that all long hair should be tied back and jewellery should be removed.
