Reconnect Scheme

Our new Reconnect Programme offers young people the opportunity to try exciting new activities at the Stour Centre for discounted prices, thanks to funding from Kent County Council.

Running from 6 June until 31 August 2022, to qualify for this great programme, you need to be a child in care; or a care leaver (under 21); or in receipt of free school meals and living in the Ashford District.

The activities available across the centres include Leisure Swimming, Clip to Climb and Soft Play. Please note, users will be restricted to 1 activity per person, per day and all Reconnect activities are limited to certain times and days. Please check our timetables before booking a session or attending the centre.

For those in care or a care leaver, your social worker, foster carer, case worker will need to email using a Kent County Council email address to confirm eligibility. For those that are eligible for free school meals, you will need to email with the following details and a photo of your Reconnect Voucher, Name and Voucher Code.

  • Home Address and Post Code
  • Contact Number
  • Email Address
  • Any disabilities
  • Emergency Contact Name & Number

You will then be issued with a Freedom Leisure membership card that you can collect upon your first visit, giving you booking and centre access. This will enable you to receive the Reconnect membership until 31 August 2022. The spaces for each session are limited and must be pre-booked in advance via the website.
