It includes access to exercise refferal friendly classes, our fitness and pool facilities, a tailored workout programme designed to support your goals, and a dedicated team to guide you on your journey to improved happiness and health.
Exercise Referral is a structured scheme that requires a referral from your GP or another healthcare professional. The aim is to enhance health through exercise and promote a healthier, more active lifestyle.
Who is this scheme for?
To begin our health membership, you'll need a referral from your GP or healthcare practitioner. Referrals are accepted for a range of health conditions, including obesity, diabetes, hypertension, mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression, and MSK symptoms. Once referred, you can start enjoying the benefits of your membership!

Frequently Asked Questions
Anyone can get accepted onto an Exercise Referral scheme with a suitable health condition that would be improved or aided by physical activity. Conditions include, but are not limited to: obesity, diabetes, hypertension, mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression, and MSK symptoms. Individuals accepted onto our Exercise Referral scheme must be defined as "inactive".
Individuals who wish to be referred must speak to their GP or physio about receiving a referral. If the GP or physio chooses to refer the patient, they will complete and submit the online Exercise Referral form. Once this has been submitted, the GP referral specialist will contact the patient by phone to discuss the next steps and arrange the start of the scheme.
This programme runs for three months with a £10 joining fee and a monthly cost of £29.95 for the full 3 month period.
After the 3-month Exercise Referral scheme has been completed, the Exercise Referral Specialist and the client will have a closing consultation. The patient will be offered an "exit" programme to provide them with guidance/support in taking an independent approach to their own physical activity.
All clients will be required to carry out an initial compulsory consultation with the Exercise Referral Specialist. After the consultation, clients will be required to sign up/pay for the 3-month scheme. Once completed, an induction into the gym will be arranged and a specific programme will be designed. The patient will have access to a range of referral-friendly classes, access to the pool facilities at the Stour Centre, and gym access.
The Biocircuit is available to all members on the health referral scheme and utilises advanced technology to provide an adaptive experience to the clients. Each machine is connected to the client via the Technogym app that, once scanned onto a specific machine, adapt all features of the machine to fit the patient. All patients wishing to use the Biocircuit equipment as part of their referral scheme will be required to carry out a compulsory induction onto the machines with an Exercise Referral Specialist.
