Our 3G and astro football pitches
Our state of the art facilities include:
- A full-sized 11-a-side 3G pitch (can be split into two halves or four 5-a-side pitches)
- A full-sized astroturf 11-a-side (can be split into two halves or four 5-a-side pitches)
- An indoor football area in the main hall (made up of 4 x badminton courts)
Following extensive renovation, our state of the art 3G pitch also includes low energy LED floodlights and a spectator fence line which help to create a much safer experience for spectators or players.
How to book a pitch
To check availability and prices in Brighton, click on the Book Now option below or head over to our main booking page The 3G pitches can be booked for a duration of 60 minutes each, while our astro pitches are available for either 60 minute or 120 minute sessions. Benefits of 3G and Astro pitches
Our pitches are extremely popular with schools, colleges and local five-a-side football leagues so we want to ensure we have the best playing fields in Brighton! Not only are 3G and astroturf pitches great for all kinds of weather, they’re also environmentally friendly, long-lasting, low maintenance and have the look and feel of real grass. 3G pitches are also less abrasive than older astroturf pitches meaning lower risk of injury.
Frequently Asked Questions
3G (third generation) pitches are made up of durable, weather-proof synthetic grass which allows for a smoother playing surface and provides better grip. Unlike older artificial pitches which are filled with sand, 3G pitches contain rubber pellets as well as sand. The pellets mix with the artificial grass to create a fantastic playing surface with shock-absorbing underlay.

As part of our commitment to recycling, we partnered with SIS UK to remove 4,000 tonnes of material for recycling which included the previous 3G surface The rubber and sand from the previous pitch will be cleaned, processed and made into new pitches, while the shock pad will be re-used in equestrian centres and arenas.
