Stanley Deason Leisure Centre is proud to announce the completion of a full renovation of its Astro Turf pitch. The works have included the installation of brand-new state-of-the-art hockey and football goals, upgraded fencing, and a completely refreshed playing surface – ensuring the facility is ready to welcome the local community back for a wide range of sports.
The redevelopment has been made possible thanks to a partnership between Freedom Leisure and Brighton & Hove City Council, with both organisations committed to investing in high-quality facilities that support grassroots sport across the city.
Ivan Horsfall Turner, CEO of Freedom Leisure, said:
“Freedom Leisure is delighted to have been working in partnership with Brighton & Hove City Council on the refurbishment of the Astroturf pitch at Stanley Deason Leisure Centre. This important investment shows the commitment to secure a high-quality, all-weather facility for football, hockey and potentially track & field activities – supporting grassroots sport and providing a modern venue for the community long into the future.”
The newly upgraded Astro Turf is now open and available for bookings. Whether for football, hockey, or community activities, the centre looks forward to welcoming players of all ages and abilities back onto the pitch.
