Student pay as you go

Full time students can 'pay as you go' in the gym for just £4.10 per session.

Want to get started?

It's easy - all you have to do is turn up at reception with your student proof as below and book your gym induction.
Students under 18yrs must complete an induction and if under 16yrs they must also complete an Under 16yrs Parq (Health Questionnaire) before they can use the gym. Gym users 18yrs+ can waiver an induction if they are an experienced gym user. Inductions can be booked at reception and a charge of £15 will apply to those choosing the student pay as you go option.

17yrs and under - a copy of birth certificate, passport or other proof of age

Aged 18yrs and over -a copy/original letter from college/sixth form/university confirming full time status or course

(Please note - Student ID cards & NUS cards are no longer acceptable, as they do not provide proof of full time status and proof of eligibility will be required every 12 months.)

'Full-time' means that, on average, more than 12 hours a week in term time is spent at School, College or University on:

  • tuition
  • practical work
  • supervised study
  • taking exams

Excludes home study courses ie. Open University Courses

Young people from the age of 12yrs are welcome in our gyms. Young persons under 16yrs are only permitted to use the gym if they are either accompanied by a user over the age of 18yrs or attend during the instructor supervised times (see below)

  • All gym users under 18yrs must attend an Induction before they are permitted to use the gym

  • Some age restrictions apply as to what equipment young persons can use
