3G Pitch **open**

You asked for it, we listened! 3G Pitch is here.

July 5 2019

In order to use the 3G Pitch, certain footwear must be worn on the pitch. Acceptable footwear is moulded or screw-in studs (this includes metal screw-in studs).

Astro-trainers, trainers and blade football boots are not permitted. Anyone seen on the pitch with the incorrect footwear will be unable to use the 3G Pitch and be asked to leave. This applies to both coaches and players.

For existing hirers we are allowing astro-trainers until 31st December 2019, but they will not be permitted from the beginning of 2020. This rule only applies to current hirers, all new hirers will be required to have either moulded or screw-in studs

Freedom Leisure is committed to removing any barriers to playing football on our new 3G Pitch coming soon. To support this and working in together with PACA, partner clubs and Brighton and Hove City Council we are running a boot bank allowing previously used boots that have been outgrown to be re-used.

If you can, please donate any adult or children's sizes, clean undamaged boots with screw or moulded studs, blades not accepted.

Bin your boots banks are at Portslade Sport Centre, PACA and Withdean Sport Complex and Stanley Deason Leisure Centre.

Our new 3G Pitch is funded by the Football Foundation and Brighton and Hove City Council. The 3G Pitch has been divided into thirds, each third equipped with a set of 5-a-side goals as well as LED Floodlights.

After reviewing our bookings and expression of interest forms, we are able to offer all thirds of the 3G from 21:00 - 22:00 (Monday - Friday). If you are interested in booking, please complete the form below or contact Tanya Caton
