Perdiswell Leisure Centre want to inform you that the floor tiles in our swimming pool area and changing facilities are due to be replaced by Worcester City Council contractors and this work will commence from 9th May 2022. The work will be phased to ensure there is as minimal disruption as possible. The swimming pool will remain open between 9th May 2022 and 19th June 2022 and during this time, the wet-side changing village will be closed. Throughout this period, we will be asking customers to arrive beach ready where possible, although, the dry side changing rooms will be available for customer use before and after swimming.
The swimming pools will then be closed from 20th June 2022 in order for the tiles to be replaced in the pool hall. The swimming pool is expected to re-open to the public week commencing 12th September 2022.
Our fantastic gym, exercise classes, outdoor pitches and tennis courts will remain open and we will be adding more programmes to ensure you and other local residents of Worcester have plentiful opportunities to stay active during this period.
Why are you replacing the tiles in the wet side areas?
As a not for profit organisation who operates the facility on behalf of the local authority, we are committed to providing customers with a first class and safe facility.

What will happen to my child’s space on swimming lessons?
We are delighted to confirm we have secured water space for a significant proportion of our Learn to Swim programme at New College Worcester and Worcester Citizens Pool and continue to negotiate with other potential venues. Our colleagues will be able to update you with availability during your next visit to the centre, or if you wish to discuss sooner then please call us on 01905 457189.
If we’re unable to relocate your swimming lessons then your membership will be automatically frozen from 20th June until 11th September. All other participants on our Learn to Swim programme will have the option to freeze their membership during the closure should they wish, meaning no cost will be incurred during this period, but your swim school place, day, time and current teacher will be secured for reopening.
I’m a swim only member, what are my options?
We are in the process of working with Worcester City Council and local swimming pool providers to see if there are any opportunities to support swimming delivery during the closure.
All swim only members will also be upgraded to the full Worcestershire connected membership which includes access to two local swimming pools, Malvern Splash and Tenbury swimming Pool. You will also have access to the fitness facilities which includes gym and classes.
I’m a member of Perdiswell and I use the gym, classes and pool. Will there been any part refunds due to the closure of the pool?

I'm a swim school parent, where can I get my child changed after their lesson?
We ask that you bring your child to their lesson "Beach ready" & at the end of their lesson they can use the dryside changing facilities.
If I come along for a public swim can I take a shower when i'm done?
