A £700,000 investment in fitness facilities has been completed at Perdiswell Leisure Centre and St Johns Sports Centre, delivering major upgrades for Worcester residents. Freedom Leisure, one of the UK’s leading charitable not-for-profit leisure trusts, manages Worcester City Council’s leisure centres and has overseen the ambitious refurbishment projects.
The refurbishment programme has refreshed the gym space at both sites - introducing upgraded fitness equipment, new flooring and improved lighting, alongside the addition of a popular Hyrox training area designed to support functional and high-intensity workouts.
To celebrate the improvements, from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 February, Perdiswell Leisure Centre and St Johns Sports Centre will be giving residents the opportunity to enjoy a free three-day pass, for use at both centres. The pass provides access to the updated gym areas, swimming, taster group exercise classes, racket sports and complimentary ‘InBody’ body composition analysis.
Freedom Leisure welcomed the Mayor of Worcester, Councillor Dr Matt Lamb, to officially launch the open weekend. The open weekend offers the perfect opportunity for residents to try something new and discover how Freedom Leisure can support their fitness journey.
