Our Athletics Track
Our 6-lane 400m track provides a first class surface for elite performers.
To compliment the track, we have all the facilities for field disciplines. Whether you are a thrower or a jumper, Maldwyn is the ideal training venue with javelin and pole vault runways, a discus/shot put circle, and long jump pits.
Our Astro Turf Pitch
Our Astro Turf Pitch is one of the best in the region. It is full size so can be used for football or hockey. The pitch can also be divided to give outdoor 5 or 7 a-side football pitches.
The pitch has the necessary floodlights so can be used all year round during centre opening hours
Our Grass Pitch
The outside grass pitch can accomodate all the traditional sports you'd expect including:
- Football
- Rugby
- Cricket
- Rounders
How To Book
We pride ourselves on offering affordable outdoor facilities that are accessible to all. We are one of the few clubs where you can simply book a pitch and 'pay-and-play' without a monthly membership. Pitch hire fees are dependant on the activity, time duration, and age of the customer.
Play Casually
We are one of the few centres in the area that allows casual play. You'll pay a fee per person, hire a pitch and just play!

No, you do not require a membership to visit the centre, however, it is advised as this gives you access to additional benefits.
Our swimming pool is open everyday with swimming lessons, family swim sessions, adult only lane swimming and much more all available. Please see the swimming timetable for more information.
The gym is open 06:00 - 22:00 Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 07.00-22.00 Tuesdays, and 06:00 - 21:00 Fridays. The gym is also open 07:00am - 16:30 Saturdays and 08:00 - 15:00 Sundays.
We have a wide range of classes so you are bound to find the right one to suit you. You can be sure that you’ll have a great time building your fitness and improving your self-confidence. We have over 30 instructor-led classes per week. These include Powerhoop, Boxercise, Ignite Conditioning, Boogie Bounce, and many more!
You can book through reception or book online with a valid membership. Members can book up to 7-days in advance. Non-members can book within 24-hours.
Yes. We run a fantastic junior swim school programme and a fabulous adult swim school programme. Swimming is a fundamental life skill that everyone should have the opportunity to develop and help them stay safe near the water.
Yes, there are several bus stops that are within walking distance of the centre, as well as a train station that is 0.8 miles (15 minute walking) from the centre.
Yes, we have a Cafe in which we serve "proud to serve Costa Coffee" drinks, hot and cold beverages and food, as well as vending machines.
We offer junior fitness memberships for Under 16's and full memberships are available for 16 and above.
