Your party will have the Paddling Pool and Play Area entirely to yourselves. It’s a dedicated, heated sanctuary (24°C) where the kids can let loose with water features and mini-slides in a safe, shallow environment.

The Storm Chaser: Our fastest, most exhilarating slide - built for pure speed! (Min height 1.2m, single riders only).

The Twisted Barnacle: A winding adventure full of twists and turns. (Min height 1m to ride alone; under 1m can ride with an adult).

The Aqua Splash: The classic favorite for a perfect poolside splash. (Min height 1m to ride alone; under 1m can ride with an adult).
Your party has exclusive use of the Paddling Pool and Play Area. This heated (24°C), shallow-water haven features interactive water play and mini-slides—the perfect playground for games and non-stop splashing.
Please Note: This party package provides exclusive access to the Slides, Paddling Pool, and Play Area only. To keep your session private and safe, there is no access to the 50m main pool.
We provide a designated picnic area right by the play zone, making it the perfect "Home Base" for your celebration.

Lido Café: Our café will also be open for hot drinks, cold drinks, hot food, and snacks.

Safety First: Please remember that alcohol is strictly prohibited on site, and no glass containers are allowed.
Important Party Information
- Capacity: Up to 45 swimmers. Spectators are welcome to attend and watch from the designated party area.
- Slide Safety: Children must be at least 1 metre tall to use the Aqua Splash and Twisted Barnacle independently. Children under 1 metre must be accompanied by an adult (16+). A lifeguard will supervise all slide use throughout the session.
- Arrival & Parking: The car park can get very busy on warm days from 9:45 am onwards. We recommend the lead booker arrives early to allow time to set up your picnic base before the water session begins.
- Supervision: All guests must follow Guildford Lido site and pool rules. The lead booker is responsible for the conduct of all guests.
- Weather & Refunds: We play rain or shine! Refunds are only issued if the Lido is forced to close due to extreme weather conditions. All other cancellations are non-refundable.
Frequently Asked Questions
Your Splash Party ticket covers up to 45 participants in the water. This includes children and any adults who plan to get in and splash too! Spectators are welcome to watch from the sidelines for free.
Not at all! Our paddling pool and slides are heated to a minimum of 24°C. It’s the perfect temperature for active play, though we always recommend a towel or robe for when they finally decide to hop out!

Yes! We love a poolside picnic. You are welcome to bring your own birthday spread and soft drinks. Just remember: no alcohol and no glass containers are allowed on site for safety reasons. If you forget the napkins (or the snacks), our Lido Café is open for hot food, ice cream, and coffee.
On sunny days, our car park is very popular! We recommend arriving by 9:45 am to secure a spot. If the Lido car park is full, additional parking is usually available at the Guildford Spectrum, just a 10-minute walk through the park.
We’re swimmers we’re used to getting wet! The party goes ahead "rain or shine." We only cancel or issue refunds if the Lido has to close due to extreme weather (like lightning or high winds).
Absolutely. Your safety is our priority. We provide fully qualified lifeguards to supervise the slide area and paddling pool for the duration of your party.
While we don't provide physical invites, you’re welcome to use our "Splash Party" branding and details to create your own! Just make sure to mention the 1-metre height rule for the slides so everyone is prepared.

Yes! We have full changing facilities including:

Cubicles: Private unisex, male, and female changing rooms

Showers: Hot showers are available to rinse off after your session.

Lockers: We have lockers available for your valuables. These require a 2op coin (which is nonrefundable).
Standard swimwear is perfect. For younger children or those who feel the breeze, rash vests or thermal swim layers are more than welcome.

Swim Nappies: All children who are not yet toilet trained must wear a swim nappy. These are available to purchase at our reception if you happen to forget!

Goggles: Standard goggles are fine, but "scuba style" masks that cover the nose are not permitted for safety reasons.
You are welcome to make your designated picnic spot feel festive! Balloons and banners are fine, but we ask that you do not bring any glass, confetti, or glitter as these can be hazardous to other swimmers and our filtration system. Please ensure all decorations are weighted down so they don't blow into the water and taken away at the end of your party.
Absolutely! You can bring your own cake to your picnic area. If you need a hand keeping it out of the sun, just ask, though we recommend bringing a cool bag for any "melty" treats. Don't forget your own plates and napkins!
The "45 participants" limit applies only to those entering the water or using the slides. Any parents or guests who are just staying in the picnic area to watch and celebrate don't count towards your swimmer total.

No. To keep your party private and safe, the 50m main pool is not included in this package. During your session, the main pool will be used by lane swimmers. Your group has their own dedicated "fun zone" consisting of the slides, paddling pool, and play area.
While you are welcome to walk through the grounds to access the cafe or changing rooms, your party and picnic must remain within your reserved Picnic Area. This helps keep your group together and ensures a private "party feel" away from the public lane swimmers.
