From 1st October 2025, Guildford’s iconic 1930s outdoor pool will be welcoming swimmers to take the plunge all year round, rain or shine. No longer just for summer, Freedom Leisure is turning the Lido into an ‘all year-round swimming destination’ – right in the heart of Guildford.
Gym customers will also benefit from the all year-round change as the gym will be open all year too!
This exciting announcement comes with the news that the Lido summer programme has been extended until Monday 30th September 2025! The much-loved outdoor pool will now remain open for an extra two weeks, giving swimmers, families and sun-seekers even more time to soak up the sun and dive into the action.
BONUS for current season ticket holders; you will get the two weeks extra on us!
To herald the introduction of all year-round swimming, we are introducing monthly and annual membership packages to suit all budgets, customers can also pay per swim and simply come and enjoy, paying on arrival. Access to swimming won’t be seasonal from this autumn and the pool will be open to everyone, all year-round with the usual extended opening times returning for the summer months.
