Important Pool Information

Please note the following important pool information prior to your visit to Guildford Lido


Terms & conditions while using Guildford lido for public sessions

  • all concessions are required to provide verification of a valid ID (including students, registered disability and carers) to main reception whilst purchasing tickets.

  • STRICTLY NO RE-ADMITTANCE

  • swimmers unable to swim 50 meters in a strong recognisable stroke must remain within their depth at all times

  • LOCKERS REQUIRE 20p TO OPERATE (non-returnable)

  • strictly no glass or alcohol is permitted within Guildford Lido grounds

  • THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED IN THE MAIN POOL:

    • Large Inflatables

    • ANY balls

    • Water Pistols

    • Full Face Masks and Snorkels

    • Mermaid Tails


Online booking

  • Members and active cardholders can book online 14 days in advance
  • Guests / non members can book online 7 days in advance

pool ratios (for general swimming sessions)

  • Age 0 - 5 years: 1 adult to 1 child
  • Age 6 - 8 years: 1 adult to 2 children
  • Age 9 - 11 years: adult poolside supervision

Children under age 11 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times (aged 16 years or over)


photographic policy

Use of cameras, video, mobile phones or any other equipment used for recording images of any kind, still or video, is strictly prohibited within all areas of the centre. Permission will only be granted for specific sessions, where written consent has been obtained from the duty management team. Thank you for your co-operation.


parking

Very limited parking is available on site. On warm days this fills up very quickly and parking at the Lido can never be guaranteed. Once the car park is full please park nearby at Guildford Spectrum which is just a 10 minute walk away.

Winter Lane Swimming

  • Water Temperature will vary depending on the weather
  • Monday – Thursday we will not be maintaining a minimum set water temperature
  • Friday we will start to raise water temperature with the aim of getting the pool to 12c for weekends, Saturday and Sunday
  • Daily pool water temperature can be found on the Guildford Lido’s social media channels and will be posted at the Lido reception
  • During the colder months it is recommended that a wet suit be worn, customers not willing to wear a wetsuit once the water temperature drops below 16 degrees will need to sign a disclaimer, this states that the customer understands the risks involved with cold water swimming
  • Adults only (over 18s)
  • Strictly no diving or jumping under any circumstances. Swimmers must slide in or use the steps
  • We recommend you shower just before visiting the centre to help us maintain swimming pool hygiene
  • Cubicles and showers are available pre and post swim
  • Be mindful and considerate of other users in the lane swimming session and keep your distance
  • You will need to complete your activity in your designated time slot and leave once completed to keep the centre safe and allow other customers access to use the facility
  • Spectators are permitted
  • Hot and cold drinks along with snacks are available for all lane swim sessions
