When will the centres reopen?
GL1 & Oxstalls Indoor Tennis Centre will partially reopen on Saturday 11 November. Initially this will be on a temporary timetable with certain facilities e.g. the gym at GL1 opening at a later date. Please check the websites for our opening times and timetables:

Are the staff/instructors going to be the same?
We have had a fantastic response to our recruitment drive and currently over 80 permanent and casual staff have been recruited to a variety of roles. The majority of these are in positions that have allowed us to reopen the facilities quickly. There will be more to follow in the coming weeks.

Will the telephone number and/or email addresses for the leisure centres change?
We don’t anticipate a change to the current phone numbers however the email addresses for the centres will change to;

Will the centres have new websites?
Yes, you will be able to visit the new centre websites at the following addresses;

You will be able to view opening hours, timetables and details of how to contact your centre.

Will the opening hours and timetables for the venues change?
The opening hours and timetables will be different from before the centres closed. Please check the websites for up to date information prior to your visit. We will however be looking to make improvements and expanding the programme over time and we’ll notify you of any changes as they are made.

Will I be able to book online or through an App?
We cannot currently offer online bookings via the website or App. All bookings need to be made by calling us to guarantee your space. We are hoping to have our booking and membership system live in December.  We will let you know when we are ready to launch the new system soon.

I was a previous member, will I be able to visit?
Yes, and we are looking forward to seeing you but please check first that the activity you want to do is running via the website and if required, please call us to book. Please note, your membership is no longer valid. All activities will be on a pay-as-you-go basis until we are able to launch our membership system and offer direct debit payments in December.

I, or my children had swimming lessons at the leisure centres, will they be running?
It is our intention to run a 5-week lesson programme from 20 November until Christmas Details of how you can enrol will be available w/c 13 November. From January 2024 we will be running a full Learn to Swim programme with monthly payments. We will confirm details as soon as we can.

I have a regular booking at the leisure centre, what should I do?
Unfortunately we have not been given any information of previous bookers. Please visit https://www.freedom-leisure.co.uk/clubs/ and provide as much detail as you can about your booking and we will be in touch to confirm your booking shortly.

I paid Aspire Sports Trust in advance for my membership and/or my booking, what should I do?
Crowe UK LLP have been appointed as the Administrators. Please call 01892 700 200 to discuss your claim.
