We’re living longer, and with the right choices, we can also live better.

Regular movement is one of the most powerful tools you have to feel your best now and protect your future health – a bit like paying into a physical pension plan.

The benefits are significant: you’ll have more energy to enjoy life now, you’ll keep your mind sharp for those busy days, you’ll improve your sleep and mood, and you’ll build a ‘buffer’ of strength and stamina that will help you stay independent for longer as you age.

Whoever you are, and whatever your lifestyle, there’s an activity for you.

Whoever you are, and whatever your lifestyle, there’s an activity for you.

Scientific studies consistently show that regular physical activity reduces the risk of long term conditions such as heart disease, diabetes and osteoporosis. Even small amounts of movement can have an impact.

Taking part in sport can be a fun and fulfilling way to move more – one that helps you stay connected with your community and learn or develop new skills. And the benefits to your long-term health can be incredible.

Active Fit -  Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11.00am
Suitable for older adults and participants who are not able to take part in higher intensity classes due to health conditions. Although we advertise it as a 50+ class, we also often see younger members attend where it matches their fitness level.

It is a beginner-friendly, freestyle conditioning class where the instructor varies the format, equipment, and structure (e.g. dumbbells, circuit style, bodyweight sessions). Exercises are always adapted to suit individual needs.

Tai Chi - Tuesdays at 11.00am
A moving meditation class suitable for all abilities. Participants can also complete the session seated if needed. The class involves a series of repeated flowing movements (typically 16–20 repetitions) before progressing to the next exercise. There is no floor work or equipment used, and the session is fully adaptable to individual needs.

LBT (Legs, Bums & Tums) - Wednesday evening and Thursday morning
Women-only class delivered on Wednesday evenings at 18.00 and Thursday mornings at 9.30am. The format is a traditional aerobics-style conditioning class including warm-up, dumbbell work, mat-based exercises and some variation depending on cover instructors. Equipment typically includes mats and dumbbells.

Tone It - Monday at 9.30am and Saturday at 10.00am.
Women-only conditioning. The focus is on full-body conditioning using a mix of equipment including dumbbells, mats, steps and resistance bands. The Saturday class may also include some aerobic elements depending on the instructor.
