What is Gravity Reformer Pilates?

What is Gravity Reformer Pilates?

Gravity Reformer Pilates is a form of Pilates performed on a specialised piece of equipment called a reformer - a sliding carriage attached to springs, ropes and pulleys that create adjustable resistance.

Unlike mat Pilates, the reformer adds controlled resistance and support, allowing for a wider range of exercises that target strength, flexibility, balance and posture all at once.

How it works

The moving carriage and spring system:

  • Increases muscle engagement through resistance

  • Supports the body during challenging movements

  • Allows exercises to be made easier or harder depending on ability
