Russell Haines Art Gallery at GL1
An art exhibition celebrating the diversity and achievements of people in Gloucester is open for public viewing at the GL1 Leisure Centre, which is operated by Freedom Leisure on behalf of Gloucester City Council.
The portraits include many well-known local people who are painted by Russell Haines. Russell is a stroke survivor who discovered his flair and exceptional talent during his rehabiliation from stroke and depression. The exhibition at GL1 Leisure Centre tells the stories of the people of Gloucester and the latest artwork is a celebration of Gloucester's extreme swimmers.
Karl Allen, Freedom Leisure Area Manager said: "I really would encourage visitors who come to GL1 to take some time to walk around and enjoy the fantastic art Russell has created over the past few years. The exhibition is a true celebration of Gloucester and the wonderful people who have made an impact on our local community. We are exteremly proud to have Russell's exhibition here at GL1"
