Health Walk

A regular brisk walking can help you: Maintain a healthy weight, prevent or manage various conditions (including heart disease, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes), strengthen your bones and muscles, improve your mood and improve your balance and coordination.

Our health walk offers chance for you to meet new people whilst keeping fit and healthy. We offer three types of walk:

A – Mostly flat. B – Inclines. C – Some steep inclines.

Aquafit™ is the low impact, high resistance way to exercise. The buoyancy of the water makes it gentle on joints while the constant resistance strengthens muscles and improves cardiovascular fitness.

Regardless of your fitness level you can get a great workout. Your instructor will offer plenty of options to increase or decrease the difficulty of the moves. The water provides equal resistance through your full range of motion, working each pair of muscles simultaneously and keeping you balanced.

If you're looking to strengthen your muscles and improve cardiovascular fitness without subjecting your body to additional wear and tear, this is the class for you.

Circuit training combines all aspects of fitness in to one hour long class. 

The stations are set out by the instructor and designed to give a full body strength workout, full cardio workout, core activation and flexibility training.

Swimming is a great way to help your body shed fat and maintain a healthy weight. As water is 12 times denser than air, swimming is a far more effective way of toning your muscles than any other form of cardiovascular exercise that you can do on land. 

Swimming can help to increase you lung volume and force you to learn better breathing techniques that can aid you when lifting weights or running. 

Water has a handy habit of supporting your bodyweight; it serves as a great way for people with injuries or those suffering from obesity to get a good workout.

A spin class is a high intensity cycling workout that takes place on a stationary machine with a heavy, weighted flywheel that is linked to the pedals. The result is a fixed gear bike – your legs are constantly moving and you have to apply pressure to slow them down. You can’t simply stop pedalling and that means that every second of the available time is put to good use.

Spin classes allow riders of all abilities to push themselves as much as they like, in the same place. So an Olympic champion can train alongside a complete novice without either placing any impact on the other’s training.

Spin bikes have resistance dials – so a stronger cyclist can turn their dial right up to the max, whilst a beginner may want to be a bit more restrained. No one gets dropped and no one gets frustrated!
