Bexhill Leisure Pool will need to temporarily close for a few months from 1 September 2026 while Rother District Council and ourselves carry out major refurbishment & maintenance works.

We are planning to close on Tuesday 1 September 2026. This may change but at this moment in time, this is the date we have been given for the closure. The last swim will therefore be on Monday 31 August.
For Rother District Council to invest in significant improvements throughout, including a new pool floor, new entrance area and general pool surround improvements as well as solar panels fitted to the roof. The investment will help us and the council to create facilities that everyone can enjoy for years to come and make them more energy efficient in the long term.
We anticipate the work taking approximatley 12-16 weeks but we will let you know if this can be brought forward or extended for whatever reason.
As you may already be aware, your membership allows you to swim and use the facilities at Summerfields in Hastings however, we’re delighted to tell you that we will be expanding your membership to allow access in all the Wealden sites during this time too, namely; Hailsham, Uckfield and Crowborough.
There will be no extra charges for using these facilities and we look forward to welcoming you to our centres in Wealden and Hastings in the autumn.
We will be offering our Swim School customers alternative spaces at both Summerfields Leisure Centre in Hastings and Hailsham Leisure Centre for the duration of the works. We will be in contact with you soon to discuss your options and get you booked in.
You are very welcome to swim at any of our swimming pools in Hastings (Summerfields), Hailsham, Uckfield & Crowborough. Prices will remain the same and you can continue to book through our websites and App. Each centre has specific timetable forAqua Classes and Family Swim sessions.
To support all our customers to maintain their fitness routine, you can use Bexhill Leisure Centre as well as any of our leisure centres in Hastings and Wealden namely; Hastings (Summerfields), Hailsham, Uckfield & Crowborough.
