Bexhill Leisure Centre and Bexhill Leisure Pool are valued community assets that play an important role in supporting the health, wellbeing and leisure needs of residents across Rother District.
As the buildings continue to age, significant capital investment by Rother District Council is now required to address deterioration, improve operational resilience and ensure the facilities remain safe, functional and sustainable for future use.
Over the coming months, both sites will undergo essential improvement and maintenance works.
Bexhill Leisure Centre
Works at Bexhill Leisure Centre began in July. The centre has remained open throughout the project; however, some areas of the building may experience temporary disruption at various stages of the works. Every effort will be made to minimise inconvenience and maintain access to services wherever possible.
Bexhill Leisure Pool
The most significant impact will be at Bexhill Leisure Pool, which will temporarily close from 1 September 2026 for a period of 12 -16 weeks. During this time, none of the facilities at the site will be available. In the meantime, customers will be able to access our sister leiaure cewntres across Hastings, Hailsham, Uckfield and Cowborough.
We understand this closure will be disappointing for our customers and we appreciate your patience and understanding while these essential works are carried out. The investment will help ensure the facility is ready to welcome everyone back in the New Year with improved infrastructure and a more sustainable future.
