Sport and participation in sport still remains an important part of our culture. Working towards Sport England’s 5 outcomes, across Worcester City, we want to contribute to their national target of getting ‘half a million people more active’ by 2020. Within Worcester City we know that 67% of adults are active and are doing the recommended levels (150 min) of activity per week. As 55% want to do more sport, we develop programmes with key organisations such as Herefordshire & Worcestershire Sports Partnership to develop more programmes of activity. We work with local sports clubs and want to celebrate local sporting success.
