Walking Netball

February 13 2019

Active Communities is excited to announce that we will be collaborating with England Netball to extend the walking sports offer within our community, supporting residents to stay active.

New walking netball sessions due to take place from the 6th April, every Saturday 10am – 11am within the sport Dyson Perrins sports hall. Only £3 a session.

Walking netball is a slower version of the ever popular game. The game has been designed so that anyone can play it regardless of age or fitness level, perfect for anyone returning from injury, getting back into exercise or just looking for something a little bit social.

Recent research conducted by sport England has stated that “Sport and physical activity has the power to do so much. It can, for example, help prevent or manage medical conditions; reduce anxiety, stress or depression; improve a person’s confidence or self-esteem or bring people from diverse backgrounds together.”

We are excited to see walking netball come to the Malvern Hills for the first time. As the center manager at sport Dyson Perrins i am especially pleased to extend our walking sports program and see new faces come through the facility.
