Health and physical activity come hand in hand and we know the importance of preventing physical and mental health issues later in life as Inactivity has one of the biggest financial impacts on the National Health Service.
The proportion of adults who are overweight or obese in Malvern is lower than the England average. 62.6% of the population with an excess weight.
Across Malvern, we work with Worcestershire’s Public Health Team to support where we can to improve the health of local people.
We support local health programmes including; GP Referral, , Postural stability programmes, and The Big Summer Challenge. Our staff across local facilities are trained to encourage everyone who wants to improve their health into an opportunity for them.
A gentle approach to exercise in water for adults. Many who use the session live with and are managing health conditions e.g. strokes, Arthritis, MS and Parkinson’s or are above a healthy weight. Swim inspiration is delivered by a group of qualified swim instructors and local health care professionals.
