Dementia Action Week

With Dementia Action Week approaching (21 - 27 May 2018), we just wanted to highlight those activities across our centres that are Dementia Friendly. Many of the staff on site have had Dementia awareness training.

On Monday we have our Singing for Health programme. A relaxed group singing session with a trained teacher. At Moulsecoomb Community Leisure Centre, BN2 4PD from 11am  – 1pm. Cost - £2.50

Tuesday we have out 'Get to know water' session, a relaxed, inclusive swimming for confidence session with a teacher at the King Alfred Leisure Centre, BN3 2WW from 12.30-1.30pm. Cost- £3.

Wednesdays we have out popular 50+ session for older adults including racket sports and Exercise class at Portslade Sports Centre, BN41 2WS. From 9.30 – 12.30pm at a cost of £4.25

On Thursday  is our new 50 + session for older adults including racket sports and a fun Exercise to music class. Held at King Alfred Leisure Centre, BN3 2WW from 10.00-12.00 with swimming up to 1pm

Also on Thursday we have a Walking Football session, for older adults to enjoy a gentler version of football. At Portslade Sports Centre, BN41 2WS From 12.00 – 1.30pm, fro £4.75

Again on Thursday is another 'Get to know water session' at the King Alfred Leisure Centre, BN3 2WW 12.00-1.00pm for £3..25

Friday afternoon Walking Football. A session for older adults to enjoy a gentler version of football at Moulsecoomb Community Leisure Centre, BN2 4PD 3-5pm cost £3.50
