This year’s virtual awards ceremony was held on Thursday 18th December 2020. The event run by Swim Wales recognises the inspiring work that individuals and organisations deliver across Wales to enable people of all ages and abilities to learn the skill that saves lives – swimming!
Following on from last year’s success Freedom Leisure were delighted to be a winner in two key categories.
Swimming Teacher of the Year
Swimming Teacher of the Year, won by Vikki Courtman who is a swimming teacher for Freedom Leisure in Wrexham. This award recognises the outstanding contribution and commitment of a swimming teacher and Vikki’s success is testament to the dedication of our swimming teachers and the support and development provided by Freedom Leisure.
Partner of the Year
Partner of the Year voted for by Swim Wales celebrating the achievements of their partners. Winning this award absolutely demonstrates the high standards and innovation that Freedom Leisure deliver in their aquatic programmes and clearly shows they are at the forefront of swimming in Wales.
Freedom Leisure run Learn to Swim programmes in 19 pools right across Wales, to enable people to achieve this essential life skill in a safe, fun, supportive, and relaxing environment.
