Party in the Park

New Venue for 2019! Due to an exciting Heritage Lottery Funded project about to get underway in Victoria Park our annual Party in the Park event has a new home in Rowley Park– So come along to Stafford’s Rowley Park Sports Stadium from 12noon on Sunday 7 July to experience an afternoon full of family fun.

All the family can enjoy land train and fairground rides, there will be lots of activities to try in the park including art and craft workshops, face-painting, dressing up in armour from Stafford Castle and family Zumba sessions with the team from Stafford Leisure Centre.  Our team will be on hand to give you a taste of all the fun sports you can enjoy in Rowley Park from football to crazy golf – so come along and have a go!

Children’s favourite, police pup Chase from PAW Patrol will be appearing during story time sessions, led by a narrator, at intervals throughout the afternoon. Chase is always ready for action, so why not cruise along and listen to tales of Chase’s latest missions!

Party in the Park starts at 12noon and closes at 5pm, entry is free with a small charge for some activities and rides. Please note to make sure everyone enjoys a safe and memorable experience there are specific conditions of entry that apply, including: no bring your own alcohol; no glass containers such as jars, bottles and drinking glasses and all dogs to be kept on leads please.

Rowley Park Sports Stadium is a pleasant walk from Stafford town centre with vehicle access off West Way via Averill Road ST17 9XX, limited car parking is available on site, please note event parking is not allowed on the roads immediately surrounding the park, we ask all park vistors to be respectful of local residents and not to block any access routes – thank you for your cooperation.       

TRAVELLING TO THE PARK - Whilst you can use the Land train when in Rowley Park; getting to the venue is best to arrive on foot. The Event is 12-5pm so the car parking may fill up quickly. Please be aware of the following precautions: 


From the North- jump on the 101 bus to Stafford Railway Station then take a pleasant walk over the bridge then through Rowley Avenue and enter at the North Gate off Lawn Road.



Please use either the main entrance off Averill Road, North Entrance at Lawn Road, Mary Rand Close or Highfield Grove. Please respect local residents by containing your excitement and noise for in the venue.



Head to Averill road where you can use the main car park. Once this is full we will be able to use King Edward’s VI School who have kindly let us use their car park as an overflow. We will have staff on hand to help and direct you. Please respect local residents and no parking on double Yellow’s to keep the event safe.
