Stafford Gatehouse Theatre

Stafford Gatehouse Theatre and Visitor Information Centre is in the heart of the County Town of Stafford. The Theatre co-produces a wide range of high quality music, comedy, drama, dance, opera and film shows, and is host to numerous local amateur dramatic and musical arts organisations. The Gatehouse also produces two large-scale, annual productions – the open-air Stafford Festival Shakespeare production at Stafford Castle and, as one of only five other venues in the country, a Rock ‘n’ Roll pantomime.

The venue is situated in close proximity from the main shopping centre and central tourist attractions. It is less than 10 minutes’ drive from Junctions 13 and 14 of the M6 and can be found by following the theatre mask symbols on routes into the town centre. There are numerous parking facilities just a short walk away from the theatre and cycle racks are available outside the building.

The Coffee Shop at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre is an ideal town centre venue for delicious food and drink. Treat yourself to our range of refreshments and fine selection of home baked scones and mouth-watering cakes. The coffee shop is open between 10.00am and 3.00pm Monday to Friday and between 9.30am and 4.00pm on Saturdays. (Times vary seasonally)

The main bar is open one hour before shows and offers a wide range of beers, wines and spirits in a relaxed atmosphere. There is also a stage bar situated upstairs by the auditorium. Interval drinks can also be pre-ordered from the theatre bar before each performance.
