Freedom Leisure Worcestershire is excited to announce its official participation in the Warm Welcome Campaign, a nationwide initiative designed to support individuals and families during the cost-of-living crisis by providing warm, welcoming spaces where people can access essential services and community support.

As part of the campaign, Freedom Leisure’s facilities; St John's Sport Centre, Malvern Splash and Perdiswell, will offer safe and comfortable spaces for anyone seeking warmth, connection, and support. Whether you’re looking for a place to relax, access advice, or take part in a variety of activities, Freedom Leisure is dedicated to providing a warm, friendly environment for all.

What is the Warm Welcome Campaign?
The Warm Welcome Campaign is a national effort encouraging organisations and community groups to open their doors to those in need of a warm place, particularly in response to rising energy costs and the winter months. The aim is to ensure no one has to face the cold alone, while providing a supportive environment for people to socialise, access resources, and connect with others.

This January, we’re taking ‘Blue Monday’ back by giving it a colourful makeover. We’re inviting everyone to embrace a warming palette – whether you simply pop on an old orange bobble hat, or get creative with craft or cooking, together we will chase away the blues this winter.The time around Blue Monday 
can be tough for many people. We need them to know there is always a warm welcome here.Get ready for the first Warm Welcome Week

Freedom Leisure’s Commitment
By joining the Warm Welcome Campaign, Freedom Leisure is reinforcing its commitment to supporting health, wellbeing, and community connections. Through this initiative, visitors can enjoy access to warm and welcoming spaces without worrying about financial barriers, ensuring that everyone in Worcestershire has the opportunity to stay safe and supported.

To celebrate the campaign, colleagues will be wearing reds, oranges, purples and pinks - to chase the blues away! 

How to Get Involved
Freedom Leisure encourages anyone in Worcestershire who may need a warm place to visit their local centre. No booking is necessary, and you are welcome to simply drop in and speak to a member of staff if you need additional support.

Together, we can make Worcestershire a warmer, more connected place for everyone.
